The Museum of Hot Chocolate had its first incarnation in the back room of the Marimba chocolatier shop in Sudbury, Suffolk, and welcomed visitors there for about two years.
The exhibits had been gathered as I researched a complete history of hot chocolate in the U.K. - a mighty tome which I still hope to publish some time soon. Indeed, if anyone reading this web site has documents, information or pictures relating to any of the hundreds of chocolate makers over the centuries, then I would be absolutely delighted to hear from you.
This web site contains just the bare bones of the epic history, and pictures of a few handfuls of exhibits. It is 'sponsored' by my own family chocolate business Marimba World Chocolate - which, if I say so myself, now makes the most amazing hot chocolate known to man. It is sold olnine and in cafes the length and breadth of the country.
